Jordan initially worked in technical support and built computer networks for small and medium businesses. In 2005, web development and programming were just a hobby for him, but when he got acquainted with CSS and its dynamic capabilities, he discovered a completely new career path.
In 2010, Jordan was introduced to WordPress by a friend and a future he never imagined opened up for him. He stopped using any other content management systems (CMS) and focused on learning what WordPress could do.
Three years later, in 2013, Jordan and a few friends founded an phone number library advertising agency. Not only did they produce commercials for local radio and TV stations, but they also used WordPress to create over 15 websites for companies that had previously underestimated the importance of an online presence.
Jordan comments: “We worked for almost four years until the end of 2017, when the economic crisis in Venezuela became so severe that we decided to close the agency, no longer making a profit. Looking back on that period, I think we changed the way entrepreneurs look at online business in the city.”
Working as a freelancer full time
A year later, in 2018, Jordan dedicated himself entirely to working as a freelance web developer. His first clients were agencies and friends who had emigrated to other countries. Later, he began working on freelance exchanges.
