Post by asimd17 »

The international exhibition for students and educational offerings 'Aula 2012', organised by Ifema, will host this year the 2nd National Congress on Educational Marketing 'Eduketing', according to a statement from Feria de Madrid.

'Eduketing' will bring together professionals from the educational world on 23 and 24 February to discuss and analyse the benefits that marketing can bring to this field.

The congress is organised by the doctor data General Council of Official Colleges of Pedagogues and Psychopedagogues of Spain and by the Spanish Conference of Teaching Centres (CECE) and aims to become a national and international reference in this field.

According to Ifema, marketing tools applied to the education sector can bring many benefits, such as improved management of the centre; the correct communication policy with parents, students, teachers; the way to attract more students; and the optimisation of the services offered.

The president of the General Council of Official Colleges of Pedagogues and Psychopedagogues, Enrique Castillejo, has pointed out that although marketing is a discipline specific to the business world, it can also be applied to the teaching sector. "Education needs a deep review and reflection with a modifying spirit. The centres, in addition to being good, must show that they are good and that is where marketing comes in," he added.

Castillejo has indicated that to do so, "they will have to know the main strategic marketing tools." "Educational centers at any level or stage, whether compulsory or post-compulsory, must have a marketing plan to show how good they are compared to their competition," he said.

"They have to get used to having to compete with each other. And schools are not competing now based on whether they have two tennis courts or three Olympic-sized swimming pools. They are competing based on the quality of the product: what type of students we end up with, what is the success factor and when they leave our school," said the President of the Congress.
