The price of a home does not remain static and usually increases in value. If you have decided to sell your home or simply want to know what its current value is, the first step is to find out the price per square metre and multiply it by the area of your property.
According to Capeco, in 2013 the price per uruguay number screening square meter of apartments in Lima rose by 20% on average.
The most expensive are in San Isidro (US$2,355 per square meter), Barranco (US$2,306), Miraflores (US$2,293), San Borja (US$2,148) and Surco (US$1,822).
Also, Jesus Maria (US$1,679), La Molina (US$1,555), San Miguel (US$1,504) or Lince (US$1,508). A little further down are Cercado (US$1,359), Pueblo Libre (US$1,345), Breña (US$1,148), Chorrillos (US$1,024) and Los Olivos (US$914).
The second step is to add the value of the home's finishes and state of repair. According to real estate agents, up to 30% of the total value of the home can be added if it has parquet floors, closets, a terrace, more than one bathroom, gardens, etc.
Compare the figure you get with the prices published in newspapers or on real estate agency websites.
