VPN awareness is high in Spain, with almost seven out of 10 Spaniards aware of them. However, usage is average, as in other countries: More than a quarter of Spaniards use a VPN.

As in most other markets, the typical VPN user in Spain is male and aged between 25 and 54. When asked why they use a VPN, almost four in 10 (38.2%) Spanish VPN users say they use it to protect their devices and online accounts.

A slightly smaller proportion, just over a third (35.8%), primarily use a VPN to protect their digital privacy.

“It’s important to choose reliable paid VPN services to ensure you’re not paying with your
data instead of usa number screening money. Also, remember that VPNs have many benefits, such as
browsing online privately, using public Wi-Fi safely, or even saving
money on holiday bookings,” says Warmenhoven.

For those who don't use VPNs , Adrianus offers three simple cybersecurity tips to
feel safer online:

Use unhashable passwords: Use different secret keys for each account and store them in an encrypted password manager. Make sure your passwords consist of at least 20 letters, numbers and symbols.
Use anti-malware software: Anti-malware software will ensure that you don't download malicious files onto your device and protect you from information-stealing viruses.
Don't overshare on social media: The more you share online, the easier it is for criminals to use that information against you.
