There are many, many other professionals out there who have the same role as you. There are many other SEO experts, there are many other accountants, there are many other plumbers, there are many other web marketing consultants... well, I have to admit that there aren't many consultants for web marketing consultants, but I'm a big black sheep, and that's how it is.
If you can't be the best of all, in every way, you must at least be sure that you are exploring amazon: the essentials different from all the others!
Being a chameleon makes no sense when you are looking for potential employers or clients! You must not hide or blend in, you must be able to stand out from all the others!
Just as there is freedom of choice for consumers (and employers), so there is also the freedom to be different, to differentiate yourself. But what does differentiation mean in terms of personal branding? It means bringing out the best in you, in you who, like any other human, are unique, without equal.
It seems easy, but it is not at all
To be different, and to be so consistently and effectively, you have to be authentic. But to communicate your authenticity to the outside world, you must first know yourself perfectly, to build a solid personal brand, and not a house of cards that will fall on itself at the first opportunity.
In short, to create your brand, you don't have to start from your website or your LinkedIn profile, no, you have to start from a good introspection session : the center of your personal brand must be you, not the image of yourself that you have created on Twitter!
