Always collect more than necessary

Start with an earthquake
Most texts start like a drizzle and you wonder when it will finally start. In many blog articles, you can safely skip the first paragraphs.

Why?

Because the introduction is boring, long-winded and usually only written for Google (you can tell by the sequence of keywords…).

Instead: Start immediately with a bang, with an earthquake and a downpour. The reader has no time or desire to listen to banalities and platitudes.

19) Be a detective
A good text depends not only on the author's writing style, but also on the information the author uses.

A funny story, a curious fact or estonia telegram screening a wise quote are worth more than writing style acrobatics.

This means that as an author you have to read, search, photograph, copy, take notes and research a lot.

Every good writer has a swipe file – a collection of facts, ideas and phrases.

It's better to collect too much than too little. You can always cut back, but adding more is more difficult.

21) 8 ideas for getting started
Here are 8 ideas for your first sentence:

freshness and effervescence
A novelty
A Paradox
humor and wit
A surprise
An unusual idea
An interesting fact
A question
The first sentence basically has only one task: it must lead to the second sentence.

22) The last sentence
Pay attention to the last sentence in your paragraph. It is the springboard to the next paragraph.
