A Facebook group has a number of advantages over a page.

1. You get the most out of Facebook with a group
Facebook is changing , the algorithm is no longer what it used to be and who knows what it will do next. As a result, every business page suffers from less interaction on organic posts and therefore also less engagement. Where you would get fifty reactions to a post a few years ago, for example, now you can sometimes only get five likes. Of course you can advertise and that works, but that costs money (not a bad thing if the ROI is okay, don't get me wrong. Besides: there's no such thing as a free lunch). But when it comes to organic reach and engagement, it's a crying shame. Let's be honest, you can use your energy and time better.

Look, that's where the Facebook group comes in. Because a group has much more 'glue' than a page. Engagement, that is. A group is a 'club' with members. And those members like a certain subject so much that they want to know and share everything about it in one free place.

Did I say free? Yes, a group is free for both you and the members (for now) and free is still a magic word. buy bulk sms service People also generally love Facebook groups because they don't have to leave Facebook once they're 'there', it's a risk-free, no-obligation commitment. And if you provide a lot of value, they won't be so quick to leave the group.

And the best part is yet to come. The organic reach of your Facebook page is lousy. The organic reach of your Facebook group is not certain, but in my experience it is many, many times greater.
