What will attract CIOs in 2017?

Post by hasnafmani21 »

2017 started with great expectations in the face of new trends that were already making their way among CIOs in 2016, but also among CISOs and other IT managers in Spanish companies, whether small, medium or large.

Through the different Traditional Marketing and Online Marketing campaigns that PGR has been running for its clients over the past year, we have compiled the trends that have attracted the most attention and generated the most interest in terms of Email Marketing clicks , content downloads, technological events, feedback on Telemarketing campaigns and Lead Generation actions , always promoting technologies and products that are of course known by everyone and grouped into three main pillars: infrastructure solutions (IT architecture, virtualization...), business solutions (ERP, CRM, BPM...) or managed services.

Big Data, the trend already normalized by CIOs
Big Data was the buzzword during 2014 and 2015, during 2016 it hungary phone number list became normalized and is now part of our everyday vocabulary at any technology conference and talk. There has not been a single technology fair in Spain that does not talk about Big Data and its advantages.

But does anyone know how to take advantage of Big Data ? CIOs must have real, tangible solutions that allow them to understand its benefits without causing them headaches. It can really become a competitive advantage that will allow them to sell many technological solutions and products to CIOs and the entire IT team.

Key solutions related to Big Data such as Data Analytics and Data Visualization are beginning to become imperative to improve business results.

The key is to make it easy, packaged and uncomplicated. In the same way that an ERP offers an improvement in the development of a company's functions, Big Data must be perceived in the same way. Big Data is cool, something that sounds great but that many perceive as not being for them.

Process automation, a very important element to consider for CIOs
CIOs are looking for new solutions to help them in their day-to-day work. New technologies and solutions offer many advantages and benefits over the tools they currently work with, but new is not always better.

CIOs are attracted by solutions that allow them to save time, optimize their tasks and improve the performance of human processes. The solutions that have been incorporated into the catalog of software or hardware manufacturers and that allow automation of processes executed by IT have generated a lot of expectation and interest.

A key point when we talk about trying to sell our product or service is that we must not only offer an improvement approach in the benefits that the solution provides but also in the advantages that it represents for the CIO and his team.

IoT, virtual reality and artificial intelligence in the CIOs' sights
The Internet of Things seems to be struggling to get off the ground. During 2016, it has undoubtedly been one of the most talked about and exploited trends by everyone. But the IoT does not quite fit in with many IT departments. Sometimes it is perceived as a greater complication in processes and analytical monitoring and its benefits are not seen in the short term.

2017 will be a turning point. The key will be for companies to develop proofs of concept (PoC) that allow them to see the benefits it brings instead of seeing the initial investment it requires and that can be transformed into success stories on the Internet of Things. The secret is in the change of mentality. The focus on “better and simpler than before” will help CIOs approach this yet to be exploited field without fear.

Virtual Reality is another trend that seems to be becoming more common in 2017. Last year we saw different real and everyday applications of Virtual Reality in many sectors. However, the IT sector has not been able to take over or lead this trend. During this year it will be very interesting to be able to exploit this niche with a multitude of advantageous and real applications through small additions to already existing technological applications.

Focusing on Artificial Intelligence, this is already a much more normalized topic. Many solutions already incorporate small AIs that allow CIOs to improve their day-to-day work and have non-human help that allows them to generate greater work performance without being a burden on the budget.
