Impression share is the ratio of the number of times an ad was actually displayed (impressions) to the total number of opportunities to display an ad.
For example, if a keyword is searched 10,000 times, and your ad is only displayed 2,000 of those times, your impression share is 20%. In other words, 80% of the time your ad was not displayed due to some reason. Identifying this "some reason" and taking measures to address the sluggish impression growth is the solution.
By the way, it is well known that the impression share loss rate can be checked through a function in the management screen of Google Ads, but unfortunately, this function is not available for Amazon Ads. (As of January 2021)
There are two main reasons for impression share loss:
