Search for Reel, challenge or music

You probably see them regularly on Instagram Reels and TikTok: cool clothing changes, products that quickly pile up, cool transitions, slowmo's and fast videos. But how do you do that? In this article (with instructional videos) I will explain the basic steps of these tricks.


Want to jump on a trend, challenge or hip song? First, look for an example Reel or find the right song. For example, you can search for songs that are used a lot, but you can also look at which challenges fit your goal and target group.

I regularly scroll through Instagram Reels in the evening. If I come across a nice piece of music or a cool challenge, I save the Reel. Then I continue with it at a later time.

Step 2: Analyze the Reel and/or music and audio
Very important when making Reels, is the way in which the music is used. Regularly, there is editing to whatsapp number list the beat of the music, or something appears at a certain moment or word during a song. It can also be that certain things are said, and it is therefore important to analyze this well in advance and to master the timing.

If it concerns a specific challenge, it is good to look at what exactly you need (clothing/products/make-up) and what comes into view when.
