[Facebook] Can't create ads? Troubleshooting for "New Page"

Post by mehadihasan123 »

When I tried to create an ad on Facebook, I encountered an issue where I was able to create a static ad, but was unable to create a Dynamic Creative ad (hereinafter referred to as DC ad) . It seems that some people are unable to create either static or DC ads. (As of March 3, 2022)

I thought it would be possible to create ads on the old page, so I checked the help section along with other questions I had, and would like to share the results with you.

The following are the inquiries and answers to the help inquiries. *As of March 3, 2022

Q. I can't create lead generation ads that include DC. Why?
A. You can't create lead ads on the new page.
Despite the above response, I was able to create lead generation ads “other” than DC ads. When I pointed this out to the help, I was told, “I don’t know why you were able to create them.”

Q: Can I go back to the old page?
A. It depends on the account at this point.
The function to return to the old page will be released in due course. Please refer to the help below for specific instructions on how to change it.

"Update on Facebook's ability to revert to classic pages"
"Classic pages will be phased out soon, and it will no longer be possible to revert from the new design page to the classic page. Page administrators will be prompted to update to the new design page...
Q. How long will the old page be available?
A. No decision has been made regarding abolition.
It was announced that the old page will be unavailable from September 2020 due to a complete transition to the new experience, but there is no official release information about the "complete abolition." Given that they plan to release a function to return to the old page, it seems that it will not be abolished for a while.

Q. Is it possible to check in the admin panel which posts have been created on the new page?
A. There is no function that can be confirmed.
When you revert to the old page, there are some restrictions, such as content created on the new page being hidden (see the help below for details). Therefore, I wanted to check which content was created on the new page or the old page, but it seems that there is no function to check this on the management screen.

"Update on Facebook's ability to revert to classic pages"
"Classic pages will be phased out soon, and it will no longer be possible to revert from the new design page to the classic page. Page administrators will be prompted to update to the new design page...
Therefore, it seems the only way to check is that "posts made after the switch to the new page are content created on the new page."

summary
It seems like the policy for handling old and new pages has not been solidified yet. If you notice something that seems a bit strange while working, please be aware that it may be a behavior related to the old and new pages!
